Mars Conjunct Uranus in Gemini 3º

There is an electric excitement that can be difficult to contain. Pay attention and proceed with caution. On July 4, Mars conjuncts Uranus in Gemini at 3º. This combination is combustible, explosive and unexpected. Things happen fast and out of the blue under this sky. These planets are also in Gemini, ruled by Mercury, and Mercury is retrograde, heightening the potential for left field messages and personal exchanges, miscommunications and distractions. This is an accident-prone frequency. Avoid rushing, speeding, and taking action without thinking at least twice. We have already begun to see news stories reporting major traffic accidents, and that is likely to continue in the days surrounding this conjunction. As it is also the 4th of July, this would be the year to avoid contact with fireworks, or at the very least take extreme safety precautions. Surprises can come in infinite forms with this combination, but with ties to Mercury, it is a good idea to tend to that engine light on your vehicle, pump up those tires, and double check the route. On the world stage, this can involve war-like developments, possibly from faulty agreements or instigated unexpectedly via shocking declarations by leaders. Rebellion is also highly likely, as this is an energy that stirs curiosity and the motivation to seek better options. From another perspective, Mars and Uranus can create a revolution of the mind. Long-stuck mental patterns can flip on a dime. New information, new ideas, new technology can push us forward. In the social sphere, the vibe is social, flexible, and exploratory. This is incredible for networking and meeting unique and innovative individuals. We are ready to talk to people, to ask questions. We want to see what else is out there!

On July 6, the Sun in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries at 14º.  The Sun in Cancer desires safety and the ability to feel nurtured by a flowing self-expression. It is possible that a confrontation pokes our ego and forces an intense questioning of our desires. Do you really want what you say you want? What are you doing about it? What is stopping you? These planets can involve authority figures, rules, regulations, and limits. What element of restraint and discipline might actually help you achieve goals, the ones rooted in the truth of your desires? This day can be heavy and involve a sincere reality check. The Moon is also moving through Aries, joining Saturn, and amplifying depressive or pessimistic feelings that can catch fire. Temper action and find reflection. Sometimes the most productive move is taking a beat to feel what lies beneath the impulse. 

On July 9, Venus enters Virgo until August 6. Venus, the planet of relationships, beauty, finance, and earthly pleasures seeks to engage with these themes through practicality, order, and itineraries. Dating and romance in this sign love a plan, one with thoughtful consideration and attention to detail but space for mutability. And a little grace for unexpected shifts would be wise, as the ruler of this Virgo Venus is Mercury retrograde in Cancer. During this time, we tend to lean in with a microscope in our relationships.
