On October 30, Venus retrograde in Libra trines the North Node in Aquarius at 27º. This is a supportive aspect and adds some ease to the ongoing review in relationship patterns, values, and finances. Although retrograde, Venus is back in its home sign of Libra where it can fair well with conversations and social graces. As it aspects the North Node, something opens. An opportunity, a new perspective, a game changing come up. The ease, the opening, the whisper is pointing toward the future, toward change and innovation. Venus is separating from its recent opposition to Chiron retrograde in Aries that was exact on October 28, pointing to next steps after recent standoffs in relationships and sense of self. (This opposition stays in affect through the entire month of November.) What brings balance? Who or what brings peace? Where do you go to exhale? Why? These outlets may be utilized today to keep us calm on the tightrope, as the next and same-day aspect will likely be confrontational.

The two benefic planets in a supportive aspect to each other creates connection, social opportunities and a vibe ripe for romantic exchanges. Things that feel good on their own feel really good under this sky. This would be the thing to watch - overindulgence, hedonism, gluttony, etc. Too much of a good thing can quickly become not a good thing, and its very easy to do with a sky like this. If there is a night to go out this week, it would be this one, however Jupiter is applying a conjunction with the South Node (active now through most of November) and so of course, there is a caveat. Jupiter/South Node expands engagement with or the awareness of the past, the ‘good-old-days’. It can highlight earlier versions of engaging with pleasure, indulgence, and social time - things that feel good because they are familiar. Venus, while in good standing in Libra, is still retrograde, further emphasizing a review of how we participate in fun and good times. A good time may be had, and memories made, but there will be something underneath it all that doesn’t feel quite right. What party patterns from the past are needing to evolve? What old way of socializing is not longer fulfilling? What friend groups or social environments do spark excitement? What feels outdated or tired? What do you really crave? Venus retrograde homework!
