Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces 4º

On August 21, Venus in Libra opposes Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14º. This often manifests as a reality check in the realm of finances, pleasure, and relationships. Venus in Libra is interested in balance, fairness, and cooperation. Saturn in Aries is focused on self-motivated desires and goals. Saturn will be dishing out some sort of block, restriction or sober realization that is critical before moving forward with creative projects, ways we make money, and partnerships. Delays are not denials. Rejection is very often a form of protection. But there is an important truth that must be faced under this sky that requires maturity and integrity. If projects and connections have established solid reliability or stability, it is more likely that they will meet the challenge and progress. Do you really enjoy the thing, or is it just familiar? Are you really willing to compromise your desires? What’s the cost?
On August 22, the Sun conjuncts the South Node in Leo at 29º before entering Virgo until September 22. The Sun will bring to light something from the past for our personal and collective review. Patterns and habits that have expired or remained on auto-pilot will be very visible. As the Sun enters Virgo, it immediately trines Chiron retrograde in Taurus at 0º helping us to face whatever is revealed. This gentle support encourages healing, allowing us to recognize new positioning against old wounds related to abundance vs. lack mindstates. The medicine of Chiron in Taurus is about leaning in to the five physical senses (sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste), trusting in the body as a vessel, and healing any doubts in self-acceptance or self-sustainability. Sun/Chiron combinations are very personal. In what ways do we self-identify that no longer apply? Where is confidence budding in a place once barren? A good time for a self-audit.
On August 25, Mercury conjuncts the South node in Leo at 29º and later enters the sign of Virgo until September 10. This is a moment where messages from the past come through. Whether in the form of text messages from people that used to be in your life, or important realizations about past situations, Mercury/South Node will reveal something important about the past. Important information. As Mercury changes signs, it gains strength in it’s home sign of Virgo. Mercury in Virgo sharpens the mind. We are privy to the details. We are more diligent and tidy in our work. This is a great transit for study, research, project planning, and anything that requires organization. The mental pace picks up and we are focused on productivity. Errands run, bills paid, and deadlines met. The shadow of this placement points to perfectionism, harsh criticism, and nitpicking. Give yourself and others some grace, but it will be more difficult to accept less than the best. Notice the small things and utilize the information without getting lost in it. Tap into the potent channel of the mind/body connection. This is where a wealth of detailed information lives that is both practical and immediately useful as we draft our plans and work our schedules.
On August 27, Mercury conjuncts the Sun in Virgo at 4º. This conjunction is the apex of a configuration known as a yod or finger of God. A yod is where two planets, in this case, Neptune retrograde in Aries and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, form a close sextile to each other, while simultaneously both forming an 150º angle to another planet or planets, in this case, the Mercury/Sun conjunction. The apex of a yod creates a pressure point, a major thematic focus. This planetary formation is potent, as it forms just before the full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces at 4º. Full Moons are about culminations and completions, and in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac representing release and surrender, these themes will be exaggerated. Something has come to its natural end and is making way for other elements of our lives to take root and begin. With the Mercury/Sun conjunction as the centerpiece, what routines are leaving your life? What subconscious belief systems are all played out? What habit, group, relationship, work environment just doesn’t cut it anymore? During eclipses, the wheel of life turns. This eclipse is square Uranus in Gemini at 5º bringing unexpected happenings. Just when we think our luck has run out, lightening strikes and a new opportunity is on the table. It would be wise to stay open. Don’t hold on too tight to any outcome. Release. Let go. Let life deliver surprising developments. Let what’s meant to end die. It is not a great time to force your way. Fate is at work.
