A Week of Squares, Stop and Go Frustrations, Gifts in Disguise
Overall, this is a week of very pivotal changes. Buckle up and get ready to shift.
On June 13, the Sun in Gemini squares the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo at 22º. The Sun represents one’s vitality, sense of expression, and key factors in the uniqueness of identity. We are confronted with a challenge or obstacle that must be faced in regards to our evolving identity and sense of self. We may encounter situations that force us to recognize a past pattern, while revealing what next steps may reconcile the karma and urge us forward. In the mutable signs, a piece of the challenge is testing our flexibility. When things do not flow as planned, how strong is our pivot game? How open is the mind for recognizing opportunities in disguise? Pay attention today for important clues, symbols, people, encounters, etc, that are helping to guide a sense of direction based on your own unique and authentic truth. Self-awareness check in. Are you really going in the direction you say you desire?
On June 15, Jupiter in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries at 1º. This energy is confrontational. Cancer is a sign that represents home and country, patriotism, roots, ancestry, etc. Jupiter expands the power of the people here, as well as the awareness of our humanity and connected origins. When this energy squares off with Saturn, the planet responsible for authorities, laws, governments, and in the sign of Aries, the sign that represents war, aggression, anger, and confrontation, conflicts between these areas of life escalate. This energy will be experienced in a myriad of ways collectively and individually. One example we are witnessing is the protest response of the people against governmental orders regarding immigration. These energies will continue to be activated at this time. On a more personal level, this invites us all to consider where we stand in matters of roots, family, home and country. Saturn will challenge the beliefs of Jupiter and if any beliefs are outdated or misaligned with our truth, we will be pressured to update as a result. There is a major dynamic here of push/pull and stop/go. Opportunities for expansion are available in matters of family, fertility, land, real estate, emotional bonds, emotional security, etc, but Saturn may delay their arrival, wanting each of us to truly earn them.
Also on June 15, Mars in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus at 28º. This aspect throws a massive wildcard over the Jupiter/Saturn tension. Mars and Uranus are the most unruly of the planets. Their energies meeting via hard aspect/square implies unexpected violence, aggression, drama, displays of ego, stubbornness, etc. People are more activated, more inclined to take things personally, and make unexpected decisions as a result of such intensity. The tension is thick, and this signature shows extreme passion for freedom, freedom that includes self-expression, protest, and a drive for making major changes. The upside to this challenging aspect can reveal innovation, creative new ways of moving through conflict via emotional connection and banding together as a community.
On June 17, the Sun in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries at 26º. Here we can receive a healing balm over a tense landscape. The Sun in Gemini is concerned with learning, curiosity, local networks, neighborhoods and familiar environments. We are invited to consider how to connect with more of what we find interesting in our local spaces. We are more inclined toward the desire to grow, to learn how to better our circumstances that ultimately contribute to our greater healing journeys as individuals. Self-development, improvements in confidence, and healing parts of core identity are on offer. Unlikely conversations may contribute to these eye-opening developments.
On June 18, Jupiter in Cancer squares Neptune in Aries at 2º. Faith can indeed be tested, fantasies challenged. What we idealize might receive criticism or encouragement depending on circumstances, but one thing is certain, and that is that nothing is certain. Neptune tends to dissolve form and structure, Jupiter tends to expand and amplify. It will be very enticing to bypass and avoid responsibilities, and that is not a wise move based on the rest of the sky. Find a way to ground into a sense of self that feels real and true. Lean into that and let it be the anchor that we all need in times such as these when faith is tested.
