New Moon in Leo, Sun Opposite Pluto
On July 24, we have the New Moon in Leo at 2º with the Sun moving through trines to both Saturn and Neptune. The new Moon is a time for setting intentions and through the lens of Leo, we can plant some big seeds with cosmic support. Dream big. Spend some time today imagining and visualizing what it is you truly desire. Reflect on what brings you joy, pleasure, and creative inspiration. This is a potent time to call it in. Check back in on the progress of these intentions in six months under the Full Moon in Leo on February 1, 2026. The trine to Neptune invites access to imagination and energetic guidance from other realms for visualizing our intentions, and the trine to Saturn invites stability and support around the commitment to see them through. On July 25, the Sun opposes Pluto. This can be a very intense day, an opportunity for transformation. Just on the heels of the new Moon, we have a stand off today between matters of self vs. collective. Our ego desires are challenged to consider the perspectives of others in the pursuit of our joy, happiness, and self expression. Our confidence, self-esteem or personal life can be confronted today with obstacles, break downs, and facing difficult truths. Power dynamics come to the surface, and what is out of alignment can appear blinding. Fallacies in self expression will be exposed and fall away. Beware pretenders. Posers getting called out. Getting caught in a lie. Confronting authenticity. Best case scenario includes facing fears, approaching conflict with humility, and finding win-win solutions for all parties involved. A tall order, but not impossible.
On July 28, Venus in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries at 27º while the Moon moves through conjunctions to both the South Node and Mars in Virgo, respectively. Venus in Gemini invites conversations about healing the past, past patterns, past habits. There is a helpful nudge to analyze and discuss what Mars on the South Node (exact back on July 20) has been making very clear is over, done, and on it’s way out. Release perfectionism. Heal through writing, journaling, exchanging words. Reflect and recognize the patterns. Support for moving on.
On July 30, Venus enters the sign of Cancer August 25. Venus loves being in the sign of Cancer, a water sign that represents nurturance, the mother archetype, intuition, softness, emotional intelligence, and the comfort of what feels like home. During this time, we can find more enjoyment in deepening emotional bonds, reminiscing on the past, and creating new heart-felt memories with our loved ones, as now the two benefics, Venus and Jupiter are traveling through the same sign. In the next couple days however, Venus in Cancer will be aspecting Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Aries by square, creating conflicts in matters of the heart and personal relationships. The beginnings of that square signature may be able to be felt today (exact on August 1).
