Full Moon in Cancer, Nodes enter Pisces/Virgo
On January 9, the Sun in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries at 19º putting a little tension in the air. There is a conversation here about asserting one’s needs vs. what is truly sustainable and practical. What of those assertions are truly core needs, what of them are ego wants. Where do you desire to do something individual vs something for the good or convenience of the group? There is an opportunity to confront differences, to recognize how earlier versions of ourselves feared speaking up or lacked the ability to do so completely. Look at how you’ve grown. What still seems to be unfair or unaddressed? Be intentional if you have a bone to pick. Sensitivity is heightened at this time, and folks can take things personally and rather unpredictably, as the Moon makes a conjunction to Uranus retrograde in Taurus at 23º in the afternoon. Taking a step in the direction of healing old wounds around self-assertion. Don’t hide or suppress, but don’t hurt just to make a point either. Keep this in mind all week as emotions build and we approach the Full Moon.
On January 11, the Nodes of the Moon enter Pisces/Virgo until July 2026. This pulls the collective focus to spiritual life vs mundane life, faith vs proof, chaos vs order. For the next 1.5 years we will be working on letting go of the lower expressions of Virgo and integrating the higher expressions of Pisces. Where has being overly self-critical blocked you from expanding your artistic expression? Where has being overly planned and scheduled killed the sense of mystery and magic? Welcome new forms of spirituality. Tackle escapism and addictions. Embrace imperfection.
On January 13, Mars retrograde in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 27º and Neptune is very close to the North Node that has just entered Pisces. This is a potent time period, where we are heavily influenced and led by spirit, emotion, feeling, and intuition.
Also on January 13, the Sun in Capricorn trines Uranus retrograde in Taurus at 23º adding something unexpected, yet stable to enter the mix. Be open to what both dissolves and appears - and what appears to feel like fate. This is an incredibly creative time, channel it into your favorite medium. Be available to the muses, and most of all, to your feelings. There is potent information here guiding the way.
January 13 also brings the Full Moon in Cancer at 24º as a part of the Mars/Neptune/North Node conversation. Full moons bring culmination, completion, or projects to fruition. They are a time of heightened emotion and often where we release some of those feelings. This is especially true under this Full Moon, as Cancer is the sign that rules the Moon. Let feelings come up so they have the opportunity to be felt and released. There is something illuminated here about the personal/emotional/home life vs professional/physical/public life balance. Adjustments will need to be made when we see what is illuminated on this front. If we have been neglecting tending to personal matters with care and tenderness, this will be a loud moon.
On January 15, the Sun in Capricorn opposes Mars retrograde in Cancer at 26º. This brings confrontations with what was illuminated under the Full Moon. People will likely still be in their feelings and emotionally motivated, despite honest desires to correct course. Ignoring an issue is almost impossible at this time, but certainly a less favorable choice than facing differing views head on. Arguments are likely, and we are more prepared to fight for something. Take care not to burn bridges. There is extreme value in repair.
