Dreams, Mysticism, Fate, Neptune/North Node Meet Up in Pisces
All week we have the flavor of Neptune on the North Node in Pisces at 28º. This is not exact until February 7th, but the conjunction is close, within minutes over the course of the week and thus, a very active energy of the week. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, ruler of the beyond, the spirit realm, mist, fog, and all elements of fantasy, creativity and imagination. We look to the North Node to understand the collective focus at any given time. This combination creates a major and fated pull towards creative and spiritual projects, people, and practices. Pay attention this week to the whispers of fate, moments where it feels like spirits are speaking, guiding. Pay attention to dreams and dream symbols. If you are conscious of any piece of information from the other realms that come through this week, they are important. Mysticism abounds. Intuition heightened. Muses activated. What are you drawn to? Notice. And notice nuance.
On January 30, Uranus stations direct in Taurus at 23º. The planet of rebellion and game changing shake ups has been traveling retrograde since September 1 of 2024. Planets changing direction from Earth’s perspective are at the height of their power in their cycle. As this is occurring just a day after the new Moon in Aquarius on January 29, and Uranus is in fact the ruling planet of Aquarius, we are likely to experience Uranian themes in the fixed signs parts of our charts (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio Aquarius). All of us, but especially planets and points in these signs are in the hot seat as we interface with the unexpected, rebellious, and even revolutionary. Uranus in Taurus wants us to innovate our resources, our money, our food, anything tangible and of importance for maintaining healthy self-sufficiency and security. Take a look at how changes surface in your material experience. How have your resources, outlook, or physical energy stores been altered since September? If you have been stewing on changes that need too happen in these material areas, events may transpire unexpectedly that push them into the now.
On February 3, Mars retrograde in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries 19º. This can be a tough energy (cardinal signs especially, Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) where a conflict must be faced about the actions we have taken (or have been avoiding) as it pertains to asserting and advocating for our needs. Depending on how Mars retrograde in Cancer hits your chart, it can create a very hard time moving forward and being direct or it can go the opposite direction and flail and spew with emotional outbursts and immaturity. In either camp, since Mars began it’s retrograde on Dec 6, making seamless and calculated moves has been less than smooth. There is something we must acknowledge today about what feelings, pain, and possibly resentment we may have been harboring from the past couple months and haven’t known what to do with. Trigger territory.
On February 4, Venus enters Aries and - heads up - will go retrograde in Aries at 10º on March 1. Venus in the sign of the warrior creates a fighting spirit in the name of hearts’ desires. We are more inclined to make the call, ask them out, close the sale. This transit will have us taking a long look at what our hearts truly desire and how willing we are to act on getting it. This can also lean us toward impulsivity in love, relationships, money, pleasure, and in taking action in general. However, with Mars, the action taking planet still retrograde until February 23, this demands caution. Start to notice what your heart is pulling toward. Is it more connection? More independence? More activity? Is it really what you want or did the feeling fade when the chase was over and the objective conquered? Take notes. Monitor impulse control for the entire month of February.
