Real Talks, Welcome Aquarius season
On January 17, the Sun in Capricorn throws a supportive sextile to Neptune in Pisces at 27º. This can be a time where both physical and spiritual aspects work in tandem to move something forward. Capricorn rules our work grind. Neptune rules our spiritual inclinations. Together they can make significant progress. Imagination can lead to productive action.
On January 18, Venus meets Saturn in Pisces at 16º. This meeting is triggered by an opposition from the moon Virgo as this aspect approaches exactitude, aka sprinkles a little trigger, little feeling on top of an already serious matter. Venus/Saturn conjunction is a reality check in all things Venus including matters of relationships, finances, and escapism/boundaries. We see a situation with clarity now, whether or not we asked for it. But this is a gift, as Saturn wants us to take responsibility for our choices, behavior and involvements so as to get us closer to our long term goals. Where are we spending our resources (time, money, energy, etc.) in ways that do not match our values? Saturn wants us to get right. Also on January 18, Mercury in Capricorn will lend support to this reality check as it sextiles the Venus Saturn conjunction in Pisces at 15-16º. There is energy on offer that favors practical thinking, problem solving, and long term considerations. And more planetary activity on January 18! The Sun in Capricorn sextiles the North Node in Pisces and trines the South Node in Virgo at 29º. What we are facing at this time, taking a sober and tough look at the reality of the situations are encouraging moves that are EXTREMELY consequential. What we let go of now may make us feel an emerging lightness that we will come to appreciate with time as we journey ahead on our paths. What we commit to now is long term.
Welcome Aquarius Season! On January 19, the Sun enters Aquarius and immediately meets Pluto at 1º. This aspect is active January 18-22, basically all week. Potentially new and shocking developments that involve intensity. The Sun acts as a spotlight wherever it goes. When the Sun meets Pluto the spotlight is on the parts of existence we often avoid looking at. In Aquarius, this will include topics around our communities, our patterns of interacting with people, our friendships and the humanitarian causes we feel dedicated to. The way we show up in these spaces has entered a phase of evolution and the Sun will show us where we are at with that today. We may not like what we see, but are invited to innovate.
On January 20, Mercury in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries at 19º. We may hit a rough patch today when trying to communicate about wounds from the past. Luckily, Mercury in Capricorn inclines us toward well thought out words when addressing an issue, but can come off blunt and insensitive. You may say the thing that activates triggers in yourself or another. If we can stay in the hard talks, stay aware to communicate and acknowledge triggers as they arise, we can make some incredible strides in healing present issues tied to much deeper wounds. Painful acknowledgements and conversations lead to healing.
On January 22, Mars retrograde in Cancer sextiles Uranus retrograde in Taurus at 23º. This aspect will be active for a few days with an applying opposition from Mercury in Capricorn exact on January 23. This can be the spark that we need to go a new way, especially as it pertains to solving some of the issues that came up during the week. New or surprising action in the name of change.
