Venus Square Pluto, Mars Enters Aries

On April 3, Mercury in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer at 15º. This is the third and final trine of the series since Mercury stationed retrograde on February 26. That Mercury retrograde was one for the books, no? We have had much to review in the realms of dreams, nostalgia, emotions, and old timelines. We have been encouraged to face grief, release the past, and practice a whole lot of surrender to make way for better aligned and updated ventures. February 16, March 9, and today, April 3 all string together points of a story, symbolic moments that allude to spiritual and emotional growth. If you have been waiting on information or next steps in a drawn out process, today shows signs of progress. There is a lot of flow around the exchange of ideas and communications. Today invites expression of true emotions once withheld and the willingness to forge ahead with optimism. 

Also on April 3, Venus in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius at 5º. Power struggles and tensions stir, especially in material matters, finances, and relationships. With Mercury trine Jupiter we may have a lot to say, but is every detail necessary in this moment? When Venus/Pluto meet in a hard aspect in fixed signs it can be difficult to want to face critical changes, but here they come. Venus in Taurus wants to slow down, focus on simple pleasures, enjoy utilizing the physical senses, etc. and Pluto is rapidly transforming the way that we do that. The power dynamics between different styles, tempos, and desires can create intense confrontations within the self or within relationships. Where are you digging in your heels? What is the true nature of your resistance? Pluto will be sure to reveal it and make important changes. 

On April 5, the Sun in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer at 15º. This transit will test the balance between ambition and integrity. Why do you want what you want? What are you willing to do to get it? There is a lot of enthusiasm and confidence in the air today and it can be channeled in our favor. Take care not to promise more than you can deliver. Discipline in action is advised, especially if we are leaning more heavily on ego and performance to achieve a goal. Exciting progress is possible if we exercise energetic temperance today. Stay open to unexpected breakthroughs after being met with challenges. It might be tempting to utilize shortcuts or avoid the truth, but not the best day to do so. 

On April 6, Venus in Taurus sextiles the North Node in Pisces at 8º. This transit is lush, helpful, and abundant, but with a sextile, we have to take some sort of action to activate it. Venus is strong in her home sign of Taurus. Where do you have Taurus in your chart? That area of life will be blessed by a fated bout of sweetness today. This is about having the materials you need when you need them. The North Node is involved, so there is a yes vibe if you tap in. Pay attention to where that yes is pointing…

On April 8, Mars in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus at 29º. Today’s transit is spiritually inspired and we can be motivated unexpectedly to try a new way. Both Mars and Uranus enjoy testing the limits, and in this favorable aspect we are likely to choose activities that help us feel free. 29º is known as the anaretic degree, the degree that pushes the envelope through the characteristics of the signs and planets involved. We are so much more available to change now than in previous weeks. We are finding openings, we can feel they are close and they are exciting. Choose a direction. 

On April 9, Mars enters Aries until May 18. The real action starts now. For most of March and the first week of April, Mars has been coasting through the foggy realms of Pisces - that ends today. In Aries, the sign of its rulership, Mars is extremely strong and ready to go. Projects that felt halted or stalled through the first quarter of the year either fall off completely or hit the ground running. The pace picks up. All planets are direct now until May 6. Momentum, ambition, life-force itself - it’s like we get our mojo back in an instant. Its time to do the thing and go after what you want. How are you going to channel it?
