Intense Culminations, Venus Direct, Full Moon in Libra

All week Mercury is in a trine to Mars. This aspect never hits exactly to the minute, but the conjunction is so close it is absolutely part of the landscape of this week. From April 10-15 this conjunction is riding 27º-29º of Mars in Cancer and Mercury in Pisces respectively, creating motivation for discussions that have likely been cooking for many weeks, months even. For context, Mercury stationed retrograde back on March 15, just after the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 14, and Mars has not yet cleared it’s own post-retrograde shadow, leaving many a lose end yet to be tied up. There is a lot to sort out in our outer worlds, as some clarity guided by the past weeks of reflection finally brims to the surface.
On April 12, the Sun conjuncts Chiron in Aries and opposes the full Moon in Libra at 23º. Full Moons already bring big feelings to the surface and illuminate the shadows, but with the Sun joining Chiron in Aries to oppose this full Moon it will naturally illuminate issues within relationships that stem from early or core wounds. This can be a sensitive time that reveals how far we have come in healing a dynamic with ourself or within a relationship. It could be that a relationship that we have been working to maintain could prove in some way to be complete now. This lunation has us reflecting on the past eclipse cycle on the Aries/Libra aka Me/We axis that began in April 2023. Libra rules relationships and it will be very clear where we are in matters of relating under this sky.
This is doubly so because also on April 12, Venus, the ruler of the full Moon in Libra, stations direct at 24º of Pisces within one degree of Saturn. Saturn’s proximity adds clarity, a sober truth, facing the music, and taking a deep look at the reality of surfacing conclusions. Venus has been retrograde since March 3. Think back to this time period. How have your values shifted? How have relationships and their dynamics changed? The way you engage with pleasure and leisure? The way you earn and spend money? These themes have undergone a rewrite, redecorate, reprioritize, reorganization etc. What truly matters to you now and what of what you once valued so highly is dissolving from the background? The truth of our highest excitements will make these verdicts very clear.
On April 15, Mercury moves into Aries adding some fire and speed to our thoughts and communications. Since Mercury is now direct (stationed on April 7), we have a much clearer idea of what needs to be addressed and with whom. Strategies have been reformulated and are beginning to be implemented. The caution here is not to act before thinking, before reviewing the events of the past month. In those previous weeks lay important receipts for necessary strategies. Don’t forget to reflect, although charging forward is supported.
On April 16, Mercury conjuncts Neptune freshly in the sign of Aries, and this does briefly diffuse some of Mercury’s juice to fly off the handle. Neptune is the planet that dissolves what it comes into contact with, and Mercury is ideas, thoughts, and communications. Here is another reason why reflection on the past few weeks is suggested. A lot has dissolved in our lives, routines, relationships - almost every area of life post-eclipses. If we can find intentional pause today, Neptune offers a direct link to inspired imagination and we may find strategies, words, and problem solving techniques that are not necessarily hyper-linear. Today is a day we may gravitate toward spiritual connection and self-improvement. We can channel great ideas with this very independent energy or become diffused and confused in the imaginary. In either case, with the Moon in Sagittarius and this Mercury/Neptune conjunction trine Mars, we likely will feel compelled to explore, to take action, to try something based on our hunches with little concern to where they may lead us. An element of surrender to instinct is active today.
Is that a bad thing? Who’s to say?
